Yoga Holidays in Gozo
Gozo is our longest continuously running retreat and this is our 8th year running our yoga holidays in this beautiful destination. We keep coming back, and for a very simple reason; it’s great!
Nestled right down in the South of the Mediterranean, it’s the hottest place in Europe.
With a slow pace of life, friendly people, quiet and calm atmosphere and delicious food, when you come to
Gozo you can’t help but relax, get away from it all and just chill out. Our season runs from April to Oct, prices from €750.
Everything shuts for 4 hours a day, and it can really take a few days to get used to the pace of life. It’s the perfect place to come to do yoga and the other elements of this sun-holiday really complement your experience.
There’s so much to see and do on the island but if all you wanted to do is eat, sleep and rest, you will still be accomplishing a lot. You will be doing a lot of excellent, expertly led yoga and one of the highlights of the week is a sunset yoga class at the Azure Window.
There is great hiking, biking, sea-kayaking and walking on Gozo, it’s perfect for an outdoor adventure holiday. There is also great scuba diving and it’s boasted as being the best in the Med!
Accommodation in Gozo
You will be staying at the Ta Sbejha apartments which are nestled around a lovely swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees. Decorated in the traditional Gozitan old-style with stunning sandstone arches and wooden beams.
The apartments are large with a large bedroom. Each apartment has its own open plan kitchen dining room and bathroom with bath, terrace or balcony. There are large areas around the houses and gardens to explore. At night the place is silent and dark with a canopy of stars over head. The apartments are simply furnished and self-catered, it is not a serviced hotel.
Ta Sbejha Holiday Village is used by other guests while we are there. There is no air-conditioning but there are fans and your towels will be changed once during the week.
Yoga classes are held in our subterranean yoga studio which is quiet and air-conditioned, perfect to focus on your practice. The studio is located onsite and we supply mats, blocks and straps. With views of the surrounding countryside and distant sea, there is a local shop and complimentary underground parking.

Hiking and Biking
There are great hikes and trails on Gozo, Malta along beautiful coastal routes and through sleepy villages. It is hot in summer but early morning and evenings are a nice time to walk then. Bikes can be hired and are a great way to get around and explore.
Snorkelling is excellent in Gozo and Malta and excursions can be arranged. There is opportunity to snorkel on the boat trip to the Blue Lagoon which our guests always enjoy.
Gozo lies in the heart of the Mediterranean as part of the Maltese Archipelago.
Gozo is known as one of the best diving destinations in the Mediterranean. You can dive wrecks, caves and tunnels, shallow reefs, drop offs and archways, which are unforgettable due to a 20 – 40 metre visibility.

Getting to Gozo
There is only one airport, it is on Malta (Luga Airport) – there is no airport on Gozo. There are many airlines that fly this route from all over Europe and the world.
We can arrange private transfers from Malta airport to the centre on Gozo upon request. If you want us to arrange a transfer please make sure you have sent us in your flight details please! We will need: Flight number, arrival time and departing city. If you are getting a transfer alone (if no-one else is arriving in around the same time), the price is €35 each way, if there are 2 – 3 of you sharing it’s a total of €45 to be split between you and if there’s a larger car required with between 4 and 8, it’s €55. We will let you know if there are others arriving in at the same time to share with. Please note that all payments are to be paid in cash to Marcel, who handles the Gozo side of the transfer. This is the case for both inbound and outbound trips. You can arrange your return journey when you are there, there’s usually always an option to share going back once you have met each other!
Do it yourself
There is an airport bus that goes directly to the Gozo Ferry Pier. There are regular ferries, they are more regular by day and in the summer, but they run all year and through the night. There is a ferry terminal, with a cafe with free wifi, so you have somewhere to wait if you need to. Once in Gozo, you can pick up a taxi at the pier to bring you to our centre at Ta Sbejha.
