Set in a beautiful location with panoramic sea views and high-end, luxury accommodation, The Cliffs of Moher Retreat is the dream location for a yoga retreat. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome, friendly and professional attitude and quality service, accommodation and healthy food. The morning yoga classes are active and dynamic and the evening classes are where you will learn how to relax, meditate and breathe. The area around the Cliffs of Moher is a magical, historical landscape and offers many tourist attractions and peaceful walks to bring balance and harmony into your life.

 

 

  

We have three reception rooms for you to relax in. Our spacious dining room with wood-burning stove, our Liscannor-stone sitting room with an open fire and comfy sofas and our sun-room with views right out to sea. This opens out to a patio where you can  sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the views. Our new studio is a large, airy room with darkwood floors and underfloor heating.

Just Breathe...

We start by teaching you to breathe. It might sound obvious, but when done properly it not only opens the chest and awakens the senses, but it helps to create consciousness and mindfulness. It also opens your heart and helps you to remain present in the moment. This is your greatest tool to help you deal with stress, anxiety, anger and worry, something that we believe effects almost everyone in this age.

 

 

A Warm Welcome and a Walk

Each morning we take you on a silent walk through the beautiful West Clare countryside, along the coast, where the air is the cleanest you may ever have breathed, rolling straight in from the Atlantic Ocean. Connecting with nature is another way to bring balance and harmony into your life.

   


 

 

Oh the FOOD...!

We nourish your body with healthy and yet delicious food. Eating is one of our greatest loves, and we are so passionate about eating food that delights the senses, food that is extraordinarily tasty, and yet completely healthy for the body. In the 3 years of running our Irish retreats, this has been one of the main highlights of all our guests stay! We will show you how easy it is to eat well and you will learn some simple tips to help bring your diet more in-line with where you want it to be.

 


 

 

Lots of Yoga

Of course there is the yoga, the main reason everyone comes to us! We very clearly divide our classes. The morning classes are active and dynamic focusing on building strength, flexibility and stability. You will be instructed to use your breath and your awareness to gain a deeper insight into your physical body. The classes are insightful, inspiring and uplifting and you will learn a lot in this intimate and relaxed environment. The morning classes run for 120 minutes.

 

Column 2 Content: 

 

Evening Yoga

The evening classes are where you will learn how to relax, and how to use your body and your breath to access a deeper and more conscious state of being. While in this relaxing state we start to heal our body, mind and emotions and it has been proven to lower blood pressure, control anxiety and stress and even slow down the aging process. Through Slow Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga we will explore the body in these ways.

These classes are relaxing and enjoyable and truly transformative. The evening yoga classes run for 90 minutes are based on Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
 

 


 

 

We will meditate, and using breath and visualisations, you will be guided to begin the process of dis-indentifying with the mind, even just for a few minutes. Scientist have proven that meditation alters the neurological pathways of the brain and has a myriad of benefits on body, mind and emotions. Through Yoga Nidra, or ‘yogic sleep’ we will teach you how to sleep better, and bring you to a state of bliss you may never have encountered before.

The West of Ireland has always attracted people for many reasons; the culture, the scenery, the music and the people. Recently the area has become popular for other reasons: world class surfing, hiking, rock-climbing, golf and an ever growing yoga and holistic community.

 

 

Sand and Surf

Lahinch is a pretty, relaxed, seaside town looking directly out to the Atlantic Ocean, with a few small cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. There is a long stretch of sandy beach, perfect for an afternoon walk, and beautiful views of the surrounding green hills.

 

 

While You're Here

We are a short drive from the beautiful beaches of Lahinch, the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, a magical, historical lansdscape and Doolin: home of traditional Irish music. There’s a huge range of things to do, places to visit and music to listen to, but it’s also the perfect place to relax, indulge in a massage and walk the beach, enjoying the beautiful fresh air.
