Our Bali yoga with optional detox holiday is held in a beautiful secluded seaside location on the East of the Island. The centre is peaceful and remote and is the perfect place to get away from it all. Wake in the morning to the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore and enjoy your first yoga class looking out to sea with a gentle breeze on your face. Watch pods of dolphins swim past 20ft from the shore. Our yoga and detox retreats provide you with the perfect setting to revive, rejuvenate and restore.

The Island of Bali has long been a favourite for travellers across the globe. It has stunning scenery, a colourful culture and beautiful people. With great weather, warm clear waters for diving and snorkelling and delicious food it is easy to see why. Offering gorgeous beaches, coral reefs, volcanoes and terraced rice paddies there is much to see and do.

The accommodation is exclusive and luxurious and the setting, with private infinity pool and steam room is exquisite. Places are numbered in this location in order to offer a slice of paradise for everyone. The bedrooms and living space look directly out to sea and the centre is surrounded by tropical flowers and plants.

Traditional Balinese fishing skiffs with their colourful sails cruise past in this beautiful bay. Across the water in the distance are views of Lombok's famous Mount Rinjani volcano. Our location is famous for diving and snorkelling, beautiful beaches, temples and friendly unspoilt villages, all set under the shadow of Bali’s largest and most sacred volcano, Mount Agung.

Yoga and detox in Bali - description

Your week will involve yoga classes twice daily, use of the steam room and three meals daily, all healthy and locally sourced. Also included are two massages, a daily meditation session and local information on trips available while you are there, including diving and trekking. In addition to this we offer detox programs and a range of therapies and treatments (see below)

The yoga classes are held in our yoga sala with views down to the crystal clear sea. With open sides, the ocean breeze will keep you cool and the sun rises right over the sea. There is little in the way of distraction here which allows you to focus completely on yourself for a few blissful days.

The accommodation is in exclusive Balinese style villas set on two levels. The bedroom is upstairs with the living area and bathroom below. All rooms in the house look out to sea with open walls. There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The beautiful Balinese Villas offer luxury and style with amazing views.

The centre is staffed by friendly locals who will help to make your stay memorable. The local villages around this great location give you the opportunity to see rural Balinese life and gives you a glance at their unique culture and lifestyle.

Optional: detox, treatments and therapies

On your week we have various options to offer you. You can participate in a detox program for a few days of your stay. Included in this are fasting programs, detox menus and colonic cleansing. In addition to this we have other treatments on offer.

IR Sauna - €20, 3 sessions for €48

The Infra Red Sauna is small pod that you sit in, with your head out of the sauna. The treatment has panels that produce heat from Infra Red waves. The heat has a deeply penetrating effect and helps release waste products and toxins deep within the tissue layers and blood circulation. It will also help with the breakdown of bacteria and viruses, and contribute to inhibit cancer cell production. The session will normally take 15-20 minutes and with some clients they may have two 15-20-minute sessions. Whilst having the sauna medical grade oxygen will be given to promote general well being.

Herbal Steam Sauna - complementary

The herbal steam sauna is one the most relaxing treatments at The Retreat Bali. The steam sauna is another great way to help the body extract toxins and unwanted products through the skin. The herbal steam sauna has a selection of very powerful herbs and essential oils native to Bali and the regions of Indonesia. All of these will contribute to help put you in a relaxed state and is a great way of ending the day that can be shared by everyone at the retreat.

Ozone Therapy €40, 3 sessions for €100

Uses medical grade ozone (03) gas, which is immediately converted into a 'super-enriched oxygen' by the conversion of lipids in the body. A fresh reservoir of 'super-enriched' oxygen is now available at a cellular level, allowing the bodies own natural process to heal itself. Ozone Therapy is used to kill bacterial and viral conditions, reduce and inhibit cancer cell production. It improves all metabolic processes involved in eliminating toxins, increases energy, stamina and general well being. Your treatment frequency will be determined by your consultation.

Oxygen Therapy - with ir sauna

Medical grade oxygen is provided during the Infra Red Sauna treatment. It provides relief from fatigue during the sauna and helps clear the head and oxygenate the blood.

Bio-Magnetic Resonance - €20, 3 sessions for €48

Uses subtle pulsing magnetic fields that interact with the energetical field of the body. A matt that contains a series of coils produces the magnetic fields that can be increased in strength, frequency and time period. The magnetic fields are programmed to realign the body’s energetical field back into balance. Re-organising the bodies’ subtle energy fields is the equivalent of defragging the heard drive on a computer. Chi Kung and meditation are excellent ways of achieving this but the Bio Magnetic Mat is an effortless alternative and offers great downtime too!

The retreat centre is in tune with local Hindu traditions and adopts a no drinking or smoking policy. The traditional Balinese buildings were built from local materials and they fit in well with the local surroundings. Yogatraveller are delighted to be bringing tourists back to this beautiful island whose industry suffered so much in recent years. Set remotely in a quiet part of the island, the retreat centre provides jobs for 11 people in the local area. All the food is locally sourced and is prepared by locals. All our excursions are done through small local businesses which generates revenue to the locality. Yogatraveller also donate 10% of our profits to tsunami affected areas of which Indonesia is one. The nature of the holiday: healing and yoga, means we are bringing guests with a higher sense of awareness and we brief all our guests on how to be respectful in this very spiritual and cultural place. The Retreat Bali has donated money to help build a road to the local school and have donate money to all the local religious festivals.
