Dear wonderful strong yoginis,
It was a real pleasure to meet you this week and to spend so much time together laughing, singing, discussing yoga, life, and American politics. It was an honour to share my enthusiasm for yoga with you and to watch you all grow deeper, stronger, and taller. I wish you all great happiness and joy today and always.
One at the beginning of the week with a film set crew milling around (Wickie the Viking, a German film, was shot this week on Gozo and members of my group, after meeting the film crew tried hard to get a part in the film.) Maybe if we squint we’ll see our sunset yoga reflected in their Viking shields!
And a second beautiful cliff top yoga session at the end of the week, with a glass of wine afterwards to celebrate the amazing week.

The Hike:
This week’s hike was completely out of the ordinary!
The hike, from Marsalforn to the red sandy beach of Ramla was an adventure fit for hikings, I mean Vikings!
I had told the group about the steep slope at the beginning and the scrambling over rocks near the end with an option for a natural mud mask and dip in the sea in the middle. What I couldn’t predict on this hike was the weather (the web had told me a slight chance of light rain). I had never had rain on a hike before so it was something for us to experience.
The group were true yoginis and were positive throughout the adventure: laughing, giving each other a hand, singing songs and getting muddy. The hike turned out to be a mud bath even for those who weren’t too keen on the mud facial. I was touched by the smiles and strength of the group.
We finished off the hike with beer and coffee and much laughter.

The Mud!!!

The Finish!

Boat trip to Comino and Blue Lagoon:
Due to the film crew high jacking the usual boat (oh those Vikings), we were treated to a private boat and captain (exactly what Toni envisioned). Our wish was his command. The sun blazed, the blue water of the lagoon dazzled and a few fish nibbled my ankles is the sea. It was a relaxing and special time on and around Comino.

Wickie the Viking!!!

Much peace and happiness to you all,
Erinbell.
